Ghost of Tsushima upcoming update brings new expansion and multiplayer mode

The video game Ghost of Tsushima gets a new update, bringing the brand-new co-op multiplayer mode inspired by Japanese mythology and the New Game+5.

A few months ago, the game has been available in the country. Its upcoming new update, version 1.1, is free for all players.

The update brings Ghost of Tsushima: Legends,  a new online cooperative multiplayer experience for players that was announced last August. It features a classic element of samurai films and allows players to play in four-player survival missions and two-player story missions as well as a Raid that Sony will release in the weeks after the launch. To play and enjoy the features of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, players should have an active PlayStation Plus subscription and internet connection.

The new update also brings a new character in various towns and locations in Tsushima. Gyozen the Storyteller is the author and gatekeeper of the stories in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. This character shares stories about the “Ghosts.”

Aside from new classes, the new version delivers new updates for Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin players. It is also packed with new cosmetics that can be unlocked through gameplay without any microtransactions. Players may get rewarded with increasingly rare and powerful gear after taking greater challenges, and unlock new techniques after gaining experience with each class.

There are Trophies for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends under a separate section of the player’s Trophy list and do not count toward Ghost of Tsushima’s Platinum Trophy.

In addition to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, version 1.1 will include new updates for Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign based on the player’s feedback.
