Google Assistant devices now support Apple Music

Google has recently announced the rollout of Apple Music to Google Assistant devices.

Google Assistant-enabled devices like Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini, and more now support Apple Music. With this, users may now ask Google Assistant on Google Nest and other Assistant-enabled smart speakers and displays to play music on Apple Music. Apple Music subscribers may search and play more than 70 million songs, various albums, and playlists ad-free through voice commands.

The Apple Music account must be linked with the Google Home app to play music from Apple Music. Users can also select Apple Music as the default music streaming service. It can be accessed by saying the voice command, “Hey Google, play New Music Daily playlist,” or “Hey Google, play Rap Life playlist.” Moreover, users can also ask Google Assistant to play any specific song, artist, or playlist on Apple Music and play music based on genre, mood, or activity. Users may play their liked songs from your Apple Music library by saying, “Hey Google, play my songs” or “Hey Google, play my library.”

If users have more than one compatible smart speaker or display, they can use the multi-room control feature in the Google Home app or on a Nest smart display to dynamically move your music from one device to the other, as well as play music on all of the devices in your home by saying, “Hey Google, play music on all my speakers.”

Apple Music has started rolling out on Nest and other Assistant-enabled smart speakers and displays in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, and Japan.
