Intel has announced their new 9th-Gen desktop processor lineup, including the new mainstream Intel Core i9-9900K and enthusiast Intel Core X-series.
Intel’s 9th-gen Intel Core mainstream processors are still manufactured using the same 14nm process and include the i9-9900K, which has hyperthreading and dubbed by the company as “the world’s best processor for gaming”, the i7-9700K, and the i5-9600K.
These are all unlocked SKUs and feature up to 40 platform PCIe 3.0 lanes, dual-channel DDR4-2666 memory support, and Intel Optane Memory Support. All processors are compatible with all 300 Series chipset motherboards, including the new Intel Z390 chipset, which you will need to overclock. It features high-speed integrated USB 3.1 Gen 2 and integrated Intel Wireless-AC with support for Gigabit Wi-Fi speed.
