LTO resumes operations in GCQ areas

LTO resumes operations of its offices which are located under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) areas.

The agency also shares health and sanitary guidelines for the public. Visitors are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing within the office premises. Transactions between senior citizens, pregnant women, and student drivers will only be allowed once the community quarantine has been lifted. Frontliners will also be given priority.

To address the backlog of transactions, LTO offices will be open on Saturdays. Licenses that will expire within the duration of the enhanced community quarantine will also be extended up to 60 days from the day the ECQ is lifted.

Aside from the extension of driver’s licenses, the agency will not collect penalties for the late registration of motor vehicles within the ECQ period.
