Two years ago, 4DX theaters officially arrived in the Philippines offering a more immersive way of watching movies. It first started in Central Square Building in Bonifacio High Street. This time, Ayala Malls Cinemas brings the technology to theaters in Greenbelt 3 and U.P. Town Center.
As we’ve mentioned before, 4DC is a motion picture technology that offers more than sound and visuals. The cinema is equipped with tools that spew out smoke, different scents, etc., to attempt to amplify the scene that you’re watching. Elements inside a 4DX theater include:
Seat motion and vibration
Jets of air or water
Mist
Wind
Strobe lighting
Fog or smoke
Aromatic vapours from a collection of 1000 scents (probably ranging from smell of flowers to stench of garbage, depending on the scene)
Bubbles
Tickets are sold at Php450 per head. Today, The Legend of Tarzan is showing so you might want to check that out if you’re looking forward to watching the movie.
