Nissan Navara 2021 launches in the Philippines, priced
Nissan Philippines has recently unveiled the new Nissan Navara.
The new model features a refreshed rear axle, increased payload capacity, additional truck bed volume, and a new integrated step in the rear bumper to access the truck bed easily. Nissan mentioned that a new steering rack has been adopted to enhance the maneuverability at low speeds and steering response across the speed range. New key features in the new Navara include a rear differential lock, quad projector LED headlamps, new 17-inch and 18-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and auto-folding mirrors.
The latest Navara sports various technologies, including an array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features and safety systems, making it the most advanced Navara yet, as Nissan claims. The Navara lineup in the country is geared with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, including the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, which monitors the second vehicle ahead and the vehicle directly in front to reduce the risk of multi-car accidents. Intelligent Emergency Braking activates the brakes to avoid collisions.
The new Nissan Navara also has an upgraded interior with a new steering wheel with audio, hands-free and multi-information display controls, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, a 7-inch high-resolution Nissan Advanced Display Audio unit, new fabric and leather seat design, and a redesigned rear bench. Plus, with an updated rear suspension with dual-rate coil springs, the pickup can adjust to any situation on the road.
Additionally, the Intelligent Around View Monitor uses four cameras. This helps drivers notice people and cars surrounding and approaching the vehicle and makes it easier for them to parallel park or position the vehicle when hitching to a trailer. New to the system is an off-road monitor, which checks surrounding obstructions at low speeds in four-wheel-drive mode.
What’s more, the Nissan Navara is equipped with other Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features such as the Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist.
For the first time for the Navara, Nissan offers the PRO-4X grade, which comes with its own athletic look, with a black emblem, orange-accented front bumper, black grille, door handles, roof racks, and running boards accented by 17-inch black wheels and all-terrain tires.
All Navara models are powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine paired to either a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission. On the VE 4×2 A/T, VE 4×4 M/T, VL 4×2 A/T, VL 4×4 M/T VL 4×4 A/T, and the Pro-4X, the pick-up holds 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. However, the EL and VE 4×2 manual variants are rated at 163 PS and 403 Nm of torque.
