The Panasonic DC-GH5 has a 20.3MP Live MOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter present. It’s got a Venus Engine processor for 1.3x improved performance compared to the previous model. The GH5 gets an updated version of Panasonic’s Depth from Defocus AF system with 225 selectable focus points for 0.05 sec focus time, according to Panasonic, and 9 fps bursts with continuous AF (12 fps with focus locked).

It’s still encased in a weatherproofed body sporting 5-axis stabilization, dual UHS-II SD card slots, and a large electronic viewfinder (EVF). If you don’t like using EVF, it’s got a 3.2-inch articulating touchscreen display. It’s powered by the same battery as its predecessor and should last for about 410 shots per charge.

Of course, the GH5 still has the pro features for video recording like UHD 4K video at 60p and 50p with a bit rate of 150Mbps and no cropping, DCI 4K (24p), and UHD/30p video. It has a host of tools for video capture as well. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also on board.

The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 will be available by March in a body-only configuration for $1999 or about Php100k before taxes.
