The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are scheduled for release in selected countries today. While the Philippines isn’t on the list, neighboring countries Singapore and Hong Kong are included and we receive reports the folks flew to Hong Kong just to line up and get their iPhone 5S.
Our @geekynights co-host @dalekins flew to Hong Kong yesterday in order to line-up and get his hands on the iPhone 5S first.
Lines have already formed in all Apple Stores and Authorized Reseller Stores across the city of HK as early as 6AM today. Customers are given claim stubs based on pre-orders they made at the Apple Online Store last September 13.
Based on the Apple Hong Kong Online Store, the iPhone 5C will sell for Php26,500 while the iPhone 5S will start at Php32,000.
pwede naman sila bumili after 1 week pag medyo maluwag na ang pila. or after 1 or 3 months, who knows may price cut.. :)

“You can’t afford an iPhone”
– Typical response ng mga iTards. As if mayayaman kayo.
And they say demand for iphone 5 s and iphone 5c is low,
Let it be! because apple is apple. they build good products and supporting it with the up to date software and patches!.. wag na tayo bitter.
Daming bitter dito hahahahaha
So what is the big deal about this article’s headline? Obviously those people have money to spend, so good for them. Why should we care about how people spend their own money? They will help the local economy moving by spending on gas/bus/taxicabs,foods at the airport and plane tickets. The only shame is if they did not fly there by PAL. But again, it’s their own money so we don’t have a say on how they fly.
anu ba pake alam nyo.. e may mga pera nmn cla.. lumalabas mga bitter lng kayo.. kc hangang dito lng kayo sa pinas nd android lng afford nyo!!
Alam mo ba pinag sasabi mo ha? For your information, android ang OS ng VERTU, the most expensive and only luxury phone. Umpisa sa hundreds to million ang vertu. May dalawang vertu ako, does that mean poor ako dahil di ako pumunta ng HK at bumili ng chipipay na apple? Ganun? Mag aral ka muna bago ka mang offend! Malau super yaman ang mga naka android.
@ AndroidFan….Vertu made luxury phones but Vertu phones are not the most expensive or the only luxurious phones around. The cost of the Vertu T1 at $11,000 is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the Iphone 5 ‘diamond editon’ at $15 million.

Hi guys! If I buy an iPhone5S unlocked in the US, will it work in the Philippines?
No, the phone will only understand english because
you bought it from the States. Heh heh, just kidding Stu. I am sure the unlock Iphone would work in the Philippines.
