Razer unveils Kiyo and Seiren X streaming hardware

Famous gaming company Razer beefs up their broadcaster line of products with the announcement of two new live-streaming hardware. Meet the company’s newest set of hardware, The Razer Kiyo camera with an adjustable ring light and The Razer Seiren X microphone.

The Razer Kiyo is a bit of an oddball as it is the first ever desktop camera to be equipped with an adjustable ring light. The camera has twelve levels of brightness to help streamers achieve ideal lighting conditions and combat low-light scenarios. It has a maximum video output of 1080p at 30fps. Sadly, looks like the device is only compatible with live streaming programs Open Broadcast Software and XSplit. Razer has yet to announce if it plans to expand to other live streaming software.

The Razer Seiren X, on the other hand, is the company’s latest condenser microphone. The newest member of the Seiren family now comes with a built-in shock mount and a removable desk stand. The mic is equipped with 25mm condenser capsules and has a new Super cardioid pickup pattern that can, supposedly, record sound at a tighter and more precise angle.

Razer Kiyo specs:
4MP camera
1080p, 480p, and 360p at 30 fps video recording
720p at 60fps video recording
YUY 2/MJPEG or H.264 format
16bit 48KHz Omnidirectional microphone
USB 2.0
12 Multi-step adjustable ring light LEDs
Open Broad Cast Software and XSplit compatible

Razer Seiren X Microphone specs:
25mm condenser capsules
44.1KHz min and 48KHz max sample rates
20Hz to 20KHz frequency response
Super-Cardioid polar patterns
5V 100mA power consumption

Razer Seiren X Headphone amplifier specs:
? 16? Impedance
20Hz to 20KHz frequency response
? 85dB Signal-to-noise ratio

The Razer Kiyo and Seiren X are both priced at $99.99 (~ Php 5,150.98) and can now be purchased at their website or in stores worldwide by the end of the year. Razer has yet to announce local availability and pricing but it will most likely hit our shores given the company’s presence in our country.
