Smart and PLDT’s wired internet services will be affected with a 5-day long emergency maintenance activities by its international trans-Pacific submarine cable system operator.
Based on the advisory, Asia-America Gateway (AAG) will be having its emergency maintenance activities from September 25 at 8 AM to September 30 at 5 AM.
AAG is just one of the several international cable systems utilized by PLDT for its internet services.
Smart’s advisory indicated that both subscribers from the mentioned telcos may experience degraded internet connectivity during peak hours. The telcos, however, assured that measures are in place to minimize the activity’s impact and ensure that services remain available to PLDT and Smart subscribers in the midst of the pandemic.
Regular updates will also be provided during the maintenance activity.

Sana po malakas Ang cignal

Pati na Ang giga Surf 100 mabagal din Ang cignal.
This article is better written than the ones by GMA and Interaksyon. They made it seem like it’s PLDT that will do the maintenance and subs are already blaming PLDT for not properly scheduling this maintenance.
Knowing PLDT/Smart and of course Globe
Expect the worst, not mere “degraded”
