Sony launches Reon Pocket, a wearable air conditioner

Sony has launched a new wearable device, and it’s not a smartwatch, but rather a wearable air conditioner.

The Sony Reon Pocket is a portable thermostat that can cool the user in the summer and provide heat in the winter. Users can choose between four temperature levels, which they can control through the dedicated app.

It can be used with a special shirt made from polyester fabric, with a special pocket at the back. By targeting the base of the neck, the change in temperature can be felt throughout the entire body. Users may also choose to hold the device to target specific areas of the body.

The Sony Reon Pocket can be purchased in Sony’s official store for JPY 13,000. Customers may also buy the device through other retailers such as hands, biccamera, and yodobashi for JPY 14,300, or in Amazon for JPY 17,600. The shirt, on the other hand, costs JPY 1,980.
