Xiaomi will reportedly beef up a variant of the soon-to-be-launched Mi 9 with more cameras in tow.
The Chinese company is making a lot of firsts with its upcoming flagship smartphone line. This time, a Mi 9 Explorer Edition variant will reportedly sport four rear cameras in a vertical position similar to the Samsung Galaxy A9. Also, the phone will wear a transparent back cover, showcasing its neat internals. There’s also a Snapdragon sticker at the rear, which could mean this may sport a top-tier 855 chip. These according to observations from a phone render that has surfaced on Chinese social media website Weibo.
Earlier reveals from Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President announced that the Mi 9 would sport three rear cameras, also a first for the company’s smartphone lineup. The company is expected to unveil these devices in their entirety on a February 20 event in China.
