Intel and Asus teamed up to deliver one of the smallest and cheapest mobile internet devices around – the Asus Eee PC. Here are the specs:

Battery Life: 3hrs (4 cells: 5200mAh, 2S2P)
Dimension & Weight: 22.5 x 16.5 x 2.1~3.5cm, 0.89kg
It won’t replace your current full-blown laptop now but you have something very light to carry around for all your surfing and blogging needs.
Although the battery life is just 3 hours, it still beats a lot of regular 2-hour laptops out there. A full keyboard, less than 1 KG in total weight, flash based so there are no moving parts in the storage for a bump-proof ride, and wifi connectivity tops it all. The best part is the price is as low as USD$199! How cheap is that, huh?
may i know if we can plug it directly if ever the battery is already drained?
yeah, i saw two displayed at Ayala Center Cebu. they look so cute.. i think i would want this one for Christmas. hehhehehe

This thing would be available on Nov. 16. I think we get the higher end specs. SRP is around 16k.
Hi! i’m pre-selling and for reservation for this product. pls check: www.tranceform.multiply.com
is it available here? i’ve been looking for this since about july. i just wish the 7-incher has a black version. they say only the forthcoming 10-incher will have both black and white. pero, sige, puwede na rin.
sheilarouge, nakukulitan na yata sa akin ang pccorner kasi tawag ako nang tawag kung meron na silang stock.
Hi, this product is posted on the pccorner site, they’re selling it for 16k.
Sir gillan, magkano po benta nyu sa product na to? Im very interested in getting one!!! :)
We sell this product, anyone intrested could contact mr chung on pdaco****@****.***
I think I will seriously buy one when it comes out.
Nice one. Now I think I’ll buy two for the kids. They always wanted to have their own laptops and the size and portability and the wifi is just perfect. Will check the specs even more and wait for it to be sold here.
Very nice package. Has anyone knowledge of where or when this might be available in the Philippines?
I’m going to sen dmy son out looking in the US next week. This has several things going for it … the fact that is _not_ afull-blown laptop means a lot less risk when it gets lost or broken .. and three hours is more thna enough battery unless you spend all day on line surfing when ur supposed to be working.
I’m now in my second week of waiting for my $2000USD Toshiba to be repaired … if I have to turn it in to Toshiba it will take 60 “working” days … worse than a check clearing the bank … I think a $200 machine makes a lot more sense
Yeah, looks like it does have 2 USB ports based on the pics of the Eee 701 in the slideshow.
i would think it has usb ports based on the product slideshow. you’re supposedly able to connect a digicam.

@ aja — looks like walang USB ports.
@ joni & mr nich ash — kaka release lang so di pa available locally.
hmm, it’s seems like there’s something I can start with…
Where can I get this?
Wow.. San po kami makakabili? :D
Hmmm. Puwede. It seems it can also act as a clunky PDA. Hehehe.
I guess it would be the most portable gear for the thrifty mobile blogger. How many USB ports does it have, Sir Yuga? (If it does have any—well, I hope it does)
