CTL 2go netbook is an Intel Classmate tablet

Listen to article

Intel is not stopping development for the Classmate PC. The CTL 2Go Netbook tablet is the newest from original equipment manufacturer CTL.

And yes, it does bear deep resemblance to the Classmate PC and the Neo Explore line-up.

tcl 2go

8.9″ touch screen display (1024×600 pixel resolution)
Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270
1GB RAM
60GB HDD
WiFi 802.11 b/g
2 x USB 2.0 ports
SD card reader
6-cell battery
MS Windows XP Home/Linux

Estimated price without Windows XP is $499 {via}. Here’s hoping that the swivel action and tablet form coupled with touch screen will make people change their minds about the Classmate PC. I’m not even sure if this netbook will ever reach the Philippines.

Does it have “built-in” cd/dvd drive? Regarding the touch screen, is it finger touch or pen touch?

CTL computers are usually rebranded in the Philippines by Neo computers. Unfortunately you could be right that these computers might not reach our shores as the second generation 2go PC with Atom did not make it here.
