Turns out HP went ahead of Apple to introduce a portable internet table to the market. Dubbed the DreamScreen, the 10-inch and 13-inch models will be fully touchscreen and priced reasonably low.
The tablet will have a LAN port, WiFi 802.11 b/g, a 2GB storage expandable to an additional 16GB via 4-in-1 card reader. It will be pre-loaded with applications like internet radio as well as access to websites like Facebook, Pandora, etc. It can also play a variety of video files. It also comes with a remote control for multimedia playback.
It does seem to be a bit crippled and not a fully functional tablet PC (more like a souped up digital picture frame) but with a starting price of $249, it’s a good deal.
Its like a huge-ass iPod Touch
Techcrunch also have their own released months ago.
Thanks for the information you shared.
@Jazmine
I’d go for a crunchpad too but as of now it’s still vaporware.
Could use this as a 10″ in-car entertainment add-on. =)
It doesn’t have a battery! So it’s not that “portable” in the true sense of the word. It has to be plugged in most of the time.
Sir, any info about its processor?
bullshit. techcrunch tablet is the best
