HP Mini 311 unboxed, in the flesh!

Due to insistent demand and because we just can’t resist the temptation of comparing netbook performance, I purchased the HP Mini 311-1001TU. See unboxing video and photos after the jump.

The HP Mini 311 looks real cool so far. Been in the box for a couple days now since I was searching for my old tripod for the video unboxing. As mentioned earlier, the DVD+RW drive comes with the box.

Now, we can do some real-world performance comparison with this one and the MSI Wind U210. If you have suggestions on which benchmark tools I’ll use, please let me know in the comments.

I thought of getting the HP mini 311. Pero, I decided to get the Toshiba T135-S1309. I just got it last night. Its a netbook on “steroids”. It’s actually a marriage between a laptop and a netbook, kinda in the gray area. It’s 13 inches and much much slimmer than the HP mini 311 with better resolution. There is no optical drive. I’ve seen both gadget’s performance and so far, it’s pretty darn fast I must say. Worth checking out.
