Best Lens for Video: Tamron 35mm f/1.8 Vi DC USD

After about using 4 or 5 other lenses, we settled on the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 lens for shooting stills and videos in our studio.

Check out in the video below why we think it’s one of the best lens for Canon dSLRs we tried so far.

We’ve been using the Tamron 35mm f1.8 with our Canon 70D and Canon 5D Mark III for most of our work in the studio when shooting product shots.

The Tamron 35mm f/1.8 has a suggested retail price of Php34,500. You can check more on Tamron PH FB page here or check them out in local stores like CameraHaus.

As a videographer.. i rarely use a 35mm lens. Well i guess it depends on what you are shooting. For product videos, i guess a 35 1.8 would do the trick.

Forgot to mention that for our case use (studio product shots), it’s the preferred one. We’d revert back to the 24-70mm for outdoor scenes though.

Is this sharper than the 35mm nikon? Based on specs, they are identical plus the nikon cost less than 10k
