Apple unveils new macOS High Sierra

Apple took off the wraps for its new macOS called the High Sierra.

The new OS received a number of ‘refinements’ to make things more efficient for the user compared to Sierra which is the previous version. These include:

  • Intelligent tracking prevention to make sure privacy is kept
  • Full-screen Split View
  • Improved Faces
  • Uses 35% less storage space for Mail
  • Uses 64-bit Apple File System as the new default
  • Improved search function for Photos
  • New video codec (H.265)

High Sierra will launch in public beta this June, and in full free update later on.
