Globe Telecom today announced it will reduce the price of iPhone 3G by Php4,000 -- that's for both the 8GB and the 16GB model. That brings the 8GB down to Php33,599 and the 16GB version to Php39,799. This is the second time Globe has slashed the price of the iPhone 3G in the Philippines. Not sure if the dedicated iPhone 3G plans from Globe will also be adjusted because of this promo but the press release indicates this promo is for the prepaid kits. Globe started offering the Apple iPhone 3G last August 22, 2008 with the 16GB originally priced at Php48,889. After over two weeks of using the iPhone 3G, I can fairly say I have become familiar with this mobile device to share some insights on how it fares as a primary mobile phone.
