Our first stop today was the Pyung-Take Factory of LG Electronics, a 1-hour bus ride from Seoul. At the Pyung-Taek Factory, there's this huge collection of electronics that LG stores in a big walk-in vault. Did you know South Korean tech giant Samsung has a factory in the Philippines? There are about 10,000 Filipinos that work at the factory together with South Korean employees. Recently, we went on a tour of the SEMPHIL facility, and it’s unlike any manufacturing plant in the country we’ve visited. During the tour, we learned that there are four products currently being manufactured at SEMPHIL – Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC), Inductors, Chip Resistors, and Tantalum. The tour mainly focused on the process of how MLCC is made. Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation has announced the launch of 'The Ajinomoto Virtual Experience: Be More’ online factory tour, where guests can check out the company's five stations– Supermarket, Factory, Office, Cooking Plaza, and Community as well as participate in various activities.
