#macbook sleeve

Been looking around shops for a protective case or a sleeve for the new 11.6" Macbook Air to no avail. Fortunately, someone noticed my post on the new MBA and offered to send me a sample of a native, hand-made custom sleeve. The package finally arrived yesterday and here's what it looks like -- a 100% handwoven, organically dyed woven raffia sleeve specifically made for the Macbook Air 11.6". The sleeve fits perfectly on the MBA and is lined from the inside with smooth material so it doesn't scratch the device (not that aluminum can be scratched that easily). The owner, Rachel, tells me they also have sleeves for other Macbook models and the iPad. The refresh of the new 11.6" and 13.3" Macbook Air last July 2011 has introduced more powerful Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors into the line-up. I got the 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD Core i5 Macbook Air 11.6" to test out. When I bought the 11" Macbook Air last year, it was my first dibs at owning a Mac and using OS X.
