Razer sent us these pretty little speakers they called Ferox all the way from Singapore. Razer is very well known for creating kick-ass gaming accessories like keyboards and mice so I thought this portable gaming speakers would follow the same genetic make-up. Razer Ferox Frequency Response: 150Hz - 20kHz Drivers: 30mm Neodymium magnets 2 x 3watt loudspeakers 470mAh rechargeable batteries Each piece is shaped like an inverted coffee cup with the bottom part serving as a base that lights up (with a blue color) when the speakers are powered on. Relative to its size, the Ferox speakers produce really great sound quality -- it's got a wide volume range, clear and crisp audio at the low and mid levels, and does not sound tin-ny at maximum volume. There's enough bass to it but not very much (I must admit I have very high expectations considering this is Razer) but you'll feel the oomph when it's called for. Razer claims up to 12 hours of playback on a single full charge and we're getting a little under that depending on the volume level. The Razer Ferox sells for $59.99 in the Razer online store but you should be able to grab one of these in local stores for similar price (comes with a carrying case, trying to get the SRP from local distributor).
