Dell announced the world’s first Ultra HD 8K monitor

When you still can’t find a good reason to own a 5K monitor, Dell has just unveiled a new display with an 8K resolution which has four times more content than 4K and 16 times than Full HD.

The Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K Monitor is a 32-inch (16:9) display with a 7680 x 4320-pixel resolution panel and offers 1.07 billion colors (10-bit) with 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB coverage. This gives a sharp 275ppi density or as sharp as most smartphones today.

Although, it features only two DisplayPort 1.4 ports which can carry 8K resolutions as current HDMI specifications are still not supported.

Dell’s UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K Monitor (UP3218K) starts at $4,999 or about Php248,000 and will be available on March 23rd.
