Video: Chromecast Audio hands-on and setup

The Chromecast Audio allows you to access your sound system and speakers in your home via your wireless network. It follows the same principle as the Chromecast 2, only this time it’s for speakers.

The Chromecast Audio looks like the TV version. The only biggest difference is that instead of an HDMI cable, it came with a 3.5mm audio jack. The hockey puck design is also the same but the Chromecast Audio has a more glossy finish on the surface. It still comes with a micro USB cable and power charger but if your speakers have a USB port, it can get its power thru there.

Check out our hands-on review and set-up in the video below:

Chromecast Audio is available in local online stores for about Php2,700 (check listing over at Widget City here).

question: have you tried using chromecast audio without the internet connection? I mean will it run on local wifi?
