Corning has announced the commercial launch of their latest glass technology for high-performance displays, the Lotus XT.
The Lotus XT is not to be confused as a successor to the Gorilla Glass which is well-known for its damage-resistance characteristics. The Lotus XT Glass is a different technology altogether which is designed to improve manufacturing process.
To achieve energy-efficient, immersive display devices with high resolution, fast response times, and bright picture quality, panel makers need to process the glass at higher temperatures. This is where the unique properties of the Lotus XT Glass comes in.
“Lotus XT Glass is designed to have improved thermal and dimensional stability over higher temperatures, generating higher yields for our customers (panel makers).” said John P. Bayne, vice president and general manager, Corning High Performance Displays.
Simply put, the Lotus XT Glass technology allows hotter manufacturing processes which help in producing faster, thinner, lighter, brighter, and higher resolution displays.
There is a limit though, usually somewhere between
a $50 and $80 discount maximum. The manufacturer put the thin sheet of metal
between the coils to act as a heat transference device, as the heat produced between two
sets of coils on a commercial refrigeration unit can be pretty
intense. An unnamed ghost and the spirit of Theodore are also main characters in the
supernatural shenanigans that occur all hours of the day.
Another marketing hype.
That moment when the screen is much more expensive than the phone itself
ilang libo kaya ang idinadagdag ng mga hi tech na glass na yan sa SRP ng mga devices, para sa isang pinoy sapat na ung tig 100 na screen protector kung makakamura ka naman ng libo
