Sony announces its new OLED and LCD 4K HDR TV’s for the SEA market
Today in Singapore, Sony announced its 2018 lineup of 4K HDR televisions for the Southeast Asian market, including those from the Bravia OLED lineup.
The Sony A8F 4K HDR OLED TV series, which was first unveiled at CES 2018, is equipped with the X1 Extreme 4K HDR Processor, Acoustic Surface Technology, Android TV, and is HDR compatible. It comes in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes.
The Sony X90F 4K HDR LCD TV series, also unveiled at CES 2018, also has the same X1 Extreme 4K HDR Processor, Android TV, and HDR capability. It adds the new X-Motion Clarity Technology for minimized blur in fast-paced scenes. It comes in 85-inch and 75-inch Class models.
Moving down a notch, the Sony X85F 4K HDR TV Series has a regular X1 4K HDR Processor and is HDR compatible, but is not an Android TV. It comes in 75-inch, 65-inch, 55-inch, 49-inch, and 43-inch Class models.
Sony’s X75F 4K HDR TV Series doesn’t have an X1 4K HDR Processor, but is an Android TV and is HDR compatible. It comes in 65-inch, 55-inch, 49-inch, and 43-inch Class models.
It’s not an Android TV, but the Sony X70F 4K HDR TV Series is capable of running major streaming services like YouTube and Netflix. It comes in 65-inch, 55-inch, 49-inch, and 43-inch Class models.
Finally, the Sony W66F Full HD HDR TV takes the resolution a notch down, but features X-Reality PRO, which uses Sony’s unique reality creation database algorithm. Even if you’re not getting 4K, these TV’s are HDR compatible. They come in 50-inch and 43-inch screen sizes.
