Xiaomi outs 55″ and 65″ Mi TV 3S with 4K HDR
It’s not just the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus who got introduced to the public today by Xiaomi. If you’re pretty familiar with the brand, you’d know they also have an impressive line of TVs and today, they have two new models.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 3S is one of the bang-for-the-buck 4K Smart TVs in the market (soon). The set comes in two sizes — 55″ and 65″. They support HDR content which is a feature mostly reserved for the expensive panels. Speaking of panels, Xiaomi outsourced them from LG and Samsung so it should up par with the South Korean’s TV as well.
The TVs measure 9.9mm at their thinnest and sport metal bodies with gold diamond-cut sides and a neat brush aluminum rear. It’s powered by a quad-core Amlogic T966 chipset with Mali-T830 for the graphics. There’s 2GB of RAM and 8GB of available storage. Wi-Fi 802.11ac is onboard for streaming plus in decode H.265 up to 4K @ 60fps.
The 55″ 4K TV will retail for CNY 3,499 (~Php25,400) while the bigger 65″ will go for CNY 4,999 (~Php36,000) in China. A bundle for the 65″ TV will also be available for CNY 5,999 (~Php43,500) and it includes a complete home theater system.
