The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that it will launch the Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE) Mobile Pilot for game-based learning. The DepEd partnered with Microsoft Philippines for the nationwide launch of the M:EE Mobile Pilot for public and private school teachers and learners which will happen on March 16, 2022, from 11 AM to 12 NN. According to DepEd, the launch aims to encourage the 23 million learners and 900,000 teachers of DepEd to use M:EE for game-based learning and create better classroom experiences. The event will also formally announce the nationwide availability of the new M:EE for Android to amplify the access of DepEd teachers and learners to the application, provide basic training on gameplay, and provide resources and materials that will help participants get started in using M:EE. The event will be delivered via Microsoft Teams Live Event through this link: aka.ms/MinecraftMobilePH. Minecraft is now on its 10th year and to celebrate, the Classic version of the game is now playable for free on web browsers. Minecraft Classic has limited features as it was the second phase of the game's development. Minecraft's developers have also stated that all of the original bugs are also included in the web version.
