The open-world action-adventure game, Pine, is now free at the Epic Games Store. Originally priced at PHP 579.95, Pine is now available for free until May 13, at 11 PM at the Epic Games Store. Despite ending disc production for future releases, Sony said players will still be able to purchase new games through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers that sell digital game codes. In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony said that new games released after January 2028 will be available in digital format only through the PlayStation Store and participating retailers. This means players will either download games directly from Sony's online storefront or receive a download code when buying from retail stores. The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has confirmed that GoreBox is no longer accessible through the Google Play Store and Steam in the Philippines after both platforms complied with the government's request to restrict the game nationwide.
