Google has officially launched its most advanced AI model yet, the Gemini 3 Pro, and it’s already setting new records across major AI benchmarks. After months of hype, Google says Gemini 3 Pro is part of a new family of “multimodal reasoning models” and marks another step toward its long-term AGI goals. In multiple tests, the model beat out other frontier AI systems. The Gemini 3 Pro model has not been officially released locally; only the 2.5 Pro version is available in the Philippines. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the Philippines is currently working on their first artificial intelligence (AI) model. At the time though, the original model was only available by request and limited to academic and research purposes due to fear of misuse. With Llama 2, Meta and Microsoft say it has been extensively “red-teamed” or safety tested by “generating adversarial prompts to facilitate model fine-tuning”. “We believe an open approach is the right one for the development of today’s AI models, especially those in the generative space where the technology is rapidly advancing.
