Google axes AI Studio app before official launch.

Google AI Studio has announced that it is canceling its planned mobile app for iOS and Android.

Despite receiving around 800,000 pre-orders, Google AI Studio is cancelling their mobile app.

Instead of launching a separate app, Google said it will integrate AI Studio’s software-building capabilities directly into the Gemini app on both mobile and desktop.

According to the company, the goal is to let users create apps and software naturally during their everyday conversations with Gemini. This eliminates the need to download another standalone application.

Google also confirmed that it will continue investing in the AI Studio web experience that is designed for users who want to turn ideas into prompts, apps and businesses.

The company said its teams are already working on the Gemini integration and will share more details at a later date.
