REDMAGIC Astra 2 gaming tablet now official

The REDMAGIC Astra 2 gaming tablet has gone official globally.

It boasts the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with Adreno 840 GPU, configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The GPU comes with the RedCore R4 co-processor that handles frame rate stability and upscaling. And for thermal management, it features a 12-layer REDMAGIC AquaCore Cooling System 2.0.

Up front, the tablet sports a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display with up to 185Hz refresh rate, 1100 nits typical brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 on top.

Around back, it features a 13-megapixel camera paired with a 9-megapixel front snapper.

Battery-wise, it packs an 8300mAh unit with 75W wired charging and bypass charging support. It also features dual USB-C ports, comprising one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that supports DisplayPort, and a USB 2.0 port.

The tablet ships REDMAGIC OS 11.5 based on Android 16.
