Listen to article

OnePlus has confirmed that it’s exiting the North American and European markets. This means they company will no longer release new products in these regions.

“Thank you for your trust, your passion, and for being an essential part of the products we have built together,” OnePlus said in an official statement.

The company joins other Chinese manufacturers that aren’t in business in the US, such as its sister companies OPPO and realme, and competitors like Xiaomi and HONOR.

However, OnePlus’ operations in other markets, including India and the Philippines, will remain unaffected.

According to a local report, Digital Walker, OnePlus’ official distributor in the Philippines, confirmed that local operations are unaffected by the move.

Just last week, the OnePlus Pad 4 became available for pre-order in the country.

Despite the exit, OnePlus assures affected users that aftersales and software support will continue.

OnePlus also addressed how the transition from OxygenOS to ColorOS 17 will affect its software going forward.

Users with eligible OnePlus devices will have the option to voluntarily update to ColorOS 17 once OnePlus officially releases it. They also said that they will continue providing regular software maintenance updates for legacy models outside that scope.

OnePlus isn’t forcing users into the switch, either. The company confirmed that users who aren’t satisfied with ColorOS after updating can roll back to OxygenOS. OnePlus has yet to specify which versions it will make available for rollback in future announcements.

Alongside this, OnePlus also confirmed that its Community US website will officially close on August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM (ET), while its EU counterpart will remain open for now.
