OnePlus is shifting its focus toward extreme battery life in the budget tier, officially preparing to drop a brand-new device line led by the OnePlus N6. Slated for a full unveiling on June 30, early teasers and benchmark leaks have already pulled back the curtain on a budget phone engineered entirely around longevity.
The headlining feature of the OnePlus N6 is its massive, integrated 8,000mAh battery. OnePlus claims that this massive cell can comfortably handle up to three days of continuous real-world use on a single charge. To complement the sheer size of the pack, the device supports 45W wired fast charging. More impressively, the company is baking in a bold hardware longevity promise, asserting that the battery chemistry will last for seven full years of regular use before degrading past 80% of its original effective capacity.
Under the hood, the phone prioritizes efficiency and long-term fluid performance over raw flagship benchmarking scores. Geekbench logs for model number CPH2955 (rumored to be the N6) reveal that it runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor (MT6835), paired with 6GB of RAM. This octa-core setup features two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz alongside six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. OnePlus is pairing this hardware configuration with software optimization designed to keep the interface highly responsive and lag-free for up to five years of continuous ownership.
Visually, the device borrows design elements heavily from the newly launched Nord CE6, featuring a streamlined camera array on the back and a flat display panel up front.
The phone is initially launching in the Indian market, where promotional tracking strongly hints at an aggressive budget price tag sliding in below the INR 20,000 mark (around PHP 13,000 when directly converted).
