The OnePlus 15R has officially launched in the Philippines, bringing flagship-level performance, a massive battery, and AI-powered software features at a more accessible price point.
Starting at PHP 36,990, the OnePlus 15R is positioned as a premium midrange smartphone that borrows heavily from OnePlus’ flagship lineup, offering high-end internals without crossing flagship pricing.
At its core, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, delivering a reported 36% faster CPU performance, 11% GPU improvement, and 46% stronger AI processing compared to the previous generation. The chipset is paired with OxygenOS 16, providing a clean Android experience enhanced with AI-driven tools.
Powering the phone is a 7,400mAh battery, the largest battery ever used in a OnePlus smartphone. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up despite the large capacity. To maintain sustained performance, OnePlus equips the 15R with a 360-degree Cryo Velocity Cooling System, featuring aerogel-based cooling, a 5,704mm² 3D vapor chamber, and a graphite-backed thermal layer.
The OnePlus 15R runs OxygenOS 16 out of the box and includes built-in AI features such as Google Gemini, AI Writer, AI Recorder, and Plus Mind, which allows users to save and recall on-screen content for productivity and multitasking.
On the front, the device sports a 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for gaming, media consumption, and outdoor use.
For imaging, the OnePlus 15R uses a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera, the same sensor found on the flagship OnePlus 15. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP autofocus front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera system is enhanced by the OnePlus DetailMax Engine, delivering improved clarity, color accuracy, and motion handling. Video recording goes up to 4K at 120fps, catering to content creators.
Durability is another highlight, with the OnePlus 15R carrying IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings making it one of the most rugged phones in its class.
