At its core, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, delivering a reported 36% faster CPU performance, 11% GPU improvement, and 46% stronger AI processing compared to the previous generation. The chipset is paired with OxygenOS 16, providing a clean Android experience enhanced with AI-driven tools. The OnePlus 15R runs OxygenOS 16 out of the box and includes built-in AI features such as Google Gemini, AI Writer, AI Recorder, and Plus Mind, which allows users to save and recall on-screen content for productivity and multitasking. vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao confirmed on Weibo that the phone will run on the Snapragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. While Qualcomm has yet to make an official announcement about the 8 Gen 5, vivo hinted that the S50 Pro mini achieves over 3 million points in AnTuTu V11.
