Amazon is adding a monthly subscription fee for Alexa soon. Alexa will feature advanced features with the added subscription fee. The premium tier offers a range of functions slated to make Alexa smarter and useful. The new Alexa can give personalized advice for things like online shopping or exploring art. Users also don’t have to keep repeating the word “Alexa” per command. Alexa can now handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as writing emails and ordering takeaway for dinner. Basically, Alexa takes notes if you have a habit of turning on the air conditioner at a certain time. Alexa will still come with the new generative AI features even if users aren’t subscribed.
