Amazon has announced that it will be launching a refreshed version of its Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet. It has also unveiled a Kids Edition Fire HD 10. The improved Fire HD 10 now has a new octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD. Other features include Dolby Atmos, built-in microphone, up to 12 hours of battery life, and a USB-C port which is a first for Amazon. Apart from those improvements, the new Fire HD 10 retains the same 10.1-inch screen as the older Fire HD 10. On the other hand, the Kids Edition Fire HD 10 has the same specs as that of the new Fire HD 10, with an additional kid-proof case. It also comes with a 1 year Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. Both the Fire HD 10 and Kids Edition Fire HD 10 will be available for purchase by October 30.
