Amazon has introduced five new tablets today and one of them is a 6-inch slate that is powered by a quad-core CPU, Fire OS 4, and starts at just $99 - the Fire HD 6. It seems that Amazon has plans on ditching the Android on the Fire OS for a Linux-based one. This means Amazon's Fire TV sticks and tablets, Echo Show and other devices that use the Fire OS may be changed soon. According to HTC representatives, the HTC Wildfire will have a suggested retail price of Php17,500 but our reseller contact is offering it for just Php15,500. Just been informed by an authorized HTC phone reseller that the HTC Wildfire is already available in the Philippines with a selling price of Php15,500. With the current price of the HTC Hero in the upwards of Php20k+, I think the HTC Wildfire with a price of Php15,500 will toss it off the store shelves.
