Intel is taking the form of the PC to the next level with the announcement of its new modular compute platform that is as small as a credit card - the Intel Compute Card. It's not the first time Intel toyed with the idea of making the PC compact and portable as last year they unveiled the Compute Stick. This time though it's modular, and although small (95 x 55 x 5mm), still has all the elements of a full computer, including Intel SoC, memory, storage and wireless connectivity with flexible I/O options. Device makers can also design an Intel Compute Card slot for their device so it can take advantage of its performance and price advantages. Speaking of manufacturers, Intel is working with global partners, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Sharp to bring devices to the market powered by the Compute Card. The Intel Compute Card will be available in mid-2017 and will come with a range of processors options, including the latest 7th Gen Intel Core processors. I've been an avid fan of the Moo cards ever since they went online. The business/calling cards are of high quality and each one is unique so even if they're coming in from London and are a little expensive, I ordered 3 boxes.
