The Philippines's government will soon have an online shopping platform called the eMarketplace. Pangandaman and Dennis Santiago, Procurement Service (PS)-DBM Executive Director, have announced the eMarketplace - one of the proposed amendments to Republic Act (RA) 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act (GPRA). It is described that the eMarketplace will be similar to Lazada and Shopee. There's no official date for the release of eMarketplace. Apple Pay is now available in the Philippines. Starting today, thousands of in-store and online merchants in the Philippines will accept Apple Pay, with support from some of the country’s most established banks, across major credit and debit networks. “The Philippines is home to a digital-first generation that is rapidly embracing a vision for a cashless future, all while expecting security and privacy at every step,” said Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet.
