Google is increasing the price for its G Suite Basic and Business Editions which will take effect in April 2019. Starting on April 2, 2019, G Suite Basic Edition will increase by USD 1 (from USD 5 to USD 6 per user/month) and G Suite Business Edition will increase by USD 2 (from USD 10 to USD 12 per user/month), or the local currency equivalent where applicable. Pricing for G Suite Enterprise Edition customers will not change. The new prices will also apply for existing G Suite Basic or Business edition customers on the Flexible Plan. For customers on the Annual Plan, the prices will take effect the first time their plan renews on or after April 2, 2019. G Suite (Legacy Free Edition) is also shutting down in 2022. In January 2022, Google emailed G Suite users informing them about the discontinuation of the service from May 2022. It further suggested users upgrade to a paid version of G Suite, now known as Google Workspace.
