Google is expanding Gemini’s agentic features, allowing the AI to perform actions directly on Android apps. A new report from 9to5Google reveals that Google is testing a feature called “Get tasks done with Gemini”. The feature will initially roll out through Google Labs and support actions like booking rides and ordering food. Gemini’s app control will work only with certain apps at launch where it will likely start with food delivery, booking rides and possibly some Google apps. Google notes that screenshots may be reviewed to improve services if activity tracking is enabled. Google has announced new updates to Chrome Autofill. With this feature, it brings support for more types of personal information and deeper integration with Google Wallet on Android and iOS devices.
