#Google Pay to launch in PH

Apple Pay and Google Pay are now clear to roll out in the Philippines without securing Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) registration. With this clearance, Filipino users may soon enjoy Apple Pay and Google Pay support. The launch brings Apple customers an easy, secure, and private way to pay at retailers of all sizes — in stores, in apps, and on the web. Google axes AI Studio app before official launch. Instead of launching a separate app, Google said it will integrate AI Studio's software-building capabilities directly into the Gemini app on both mobile and desktop. Tangonan said the launch reinforces the central bank's commitment to building a safer, faster, more reliable, and interoperable payment system under the National Retail Payment System Framework. Starting today, passengers can use NFC-enabled devices with Google Pay, Visa or Mastercard debit, credit, and prepaid cards to enter and exit LRT-2 stations.
