Google announced several gaming updates for Google Play during the Game Developers Conference 2026. The update adds new paid games, game trials, PC support, and community features to the platform. The company said the changes aim to make Google Play a larger gaming hub where players can try games before buying, play across mobile and PC, and interact with other players in one place. Google is expanding its library with more paid and indie games in the coming months. These games can be played on mobile devices and Windows PCs through Google Play Games, with progress synced through a Gamer Profile. To help users decide before buying, Google is launching game trials. Players can try select paid games first and continue their progress if they choose to purchase the full version. Google is also introducing “buy once, play anywhere” pricing.
