Epson Philippines is introducing their M-Series of printers as a more economical alternative to laser printers. For Php565 per bottle, the M-Series printer has an ultra-high yield of 6,000 pages, has a print speed of up to 34ppm (15ipm), similar to laser print-outs (the pigment-based ink of the Epson M-Series produces water-resistant and fade-resistant prints), and is energy efficient (lower energy consumption than conventional laser printers). This is a better option for businesses that utilize laser printers for monochrome prints. However, this is not to say that Epson is abandoning its L-Series laser printers. The company will still carry the product line for customers who are not ready to transition to M-Series printers. In the meantime, Epson still has laser printers in their product lines," clarified Cabrera. Originally introduced in Indonesia, Epson’s ink tank printers have been adopted, and are now sold in 170 countries and regions worldwide.
