HMD has silently introduced two new smartwatches to its expanding wearable line, introducing the Watch X1 and the Watch P1. Both smartwatches are designed for fitness tracking and battery life, rather than a full-fledged smartwatch experience. Leading the pair is the HMD Watch X1, which comes with a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display boasting a crisp 466 × 466 resolution and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The Watch P1, on the other hand, comes with a larger 1.83-inch rectangular LCD display with a lower 284 × 240 resolution and a maximum brightness of 550 nits. Neither of the two smartwatches features GPS or NFC connectivity, which means that most functions are dependent on a smartphone connection. HMD has not yet revealed any information regarding the pricing and availability of both smartwatches.
