LinkedIn, one of the largest professional online networks, has expanded its LinkedIn Lite service in the Philippines. The LinkedIn Lite aims to bring simplicity and speed to provide greater access to opportunities for more professionals, job seekers, and students in the world. LinkedIn Lite is available on the mobile web and in Android applications. The LinkedIn Lite app includes key features such as newsfeed, profile, networks, messaging, and notifications. Akshay Kothari, Country Manager and Head of Product in LinkedIn India, said, "We recognise that no matter how good, valuable and beneficial a product is, all is lost when people can't use it. Regardless of their device or location, we hope to level the playing field for all LinkedIn members so they can get closer to their dream jobs, grow their networks and become more successful.” The link for the mobile web is here and the Android App is located here. HP's business-friendly, 10-inch Windows 8 Pro tablet, the ElitePad 900, is now being offered in local stores in the Philippines (we particularly saw one from Villman). The ElitePad 900 sports a 10.1-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 which equates to 149ppi.
