Samsung has revealed Low-Power Double Data Rate 6 (LPDDR6) RAM which has already received an award. LPDDR6 is built on a 12nm process with the memory being able to deliver data speeds of up to 10.7Gbps. This offers around 21% better energy efficiency than its predecessor, LPDDR5 RAM. With faster performance, smarter power management, and enhanced reliability, LPDDR6 aims to meet the growing demand for high-speed, energy-efficient memory in the AI era. Samsung has announced that LPDDR6 has already received the CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree under Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps. There is no word on which device will be the first to have LPDDR6 RAM. The processor is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Kodak has also added themed photo filters and frames inspired by camcorders, internet culture, and classic software from the Y2K era.
