Microsoft and Adobe are coming together to bring a new PDF experience on Microsoft Edge by bringing Acrobat PDF to the browser. Both companies hope to enhance the PDF experience in Microsoft Edge by powering its built-in PDF reader with Adobe Acrobat's PDF rendering engine in place of Edge's existing PDF Reader. Adobe Acrobat PDF on Microsoft Edge will be available to all Windows 10 and 11 users beginning March 2023 with an opt-in option for organizations with managed devices. While the old PDF viewer on Microsoft Edge will be completely removed by March 2024.
